We build an ITPOK in Suwałki!
14.11.2024 r.

This is the most eagerly awaited news of the year: we will design and build a turnkey Thermal Treatment Plant for Pre-processed Municipal Waste (preRDF/RDF) in Suwałki! We signed the contract with Przedsiębiorstwo Gospodarki Odpadami w Suwałkach Spółka z o. o. on 8 November 2024.

The implementation of the investment will be a key element in achieving the goals of waste management and obtaining energy from alternative sources on the way to energy self-sufficiency for the City of Suwałki. Producing about 140,000 GJ per year, the installation will provide local consumers with about 15% of the heat needed. In turn, the production of electricity (approx. 10,000 MWh) will cover approx. 50% of the annual demand of local government units and municipal companies of the City of Suwałki. The fuel for the Installation will be the energy fraction generated from the mechanical processing of mixed municipal waste and the purification of the raw material fraction (selectively collected waste).

waste and the purification of the raw material fraction (selectively collected waste). Other important parameters of the Installation:

- gross cogeneration heat and power production capacity >7 MW

- maximum line capacity of the Installation: 2.95 Mg waste/h,

- maximum annual capacity of the Installation: 25,842 Mg,

- thermal power: 6,75 MWt;

- electrical power: 1.72 MWe;

Instal's main partner in this project is the French company LEROUX & LOTZ Technologies. The value of the investment 178,975,000.00 PLN net, i.e. 220,169,877.00 PLN gross.

The investment will be financed mainly from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, including a grant of PLN 64,053,500.00 and a loan of PLN 114,921,500.00.
